How My First Symptoms Have Progressed

I have had endometriosis for as long as I can remember and because of that I have seen my symptoms grow and new symptoms form so I decided to tell you a bit about how my irst ever symptoms have progressed. the earliest symptoms I remember were painful periods, heavy periods and long periods. I was an early bloomer getting my first period really young and then not getting one again until like a year later (I had spotted in between times) and after that, I was full-on regular. my periods started out at seven days long all good and well but by the time I was ten my periods were upwards of twelve to fourteen days long that was when I was put on birth control which put my periods back to seven days long and then after I fell pregnant at fourteen and had my miscarriage my periods went to five days long and haven't changed since. I remember missing days from school because I would be crying nonstop and vomiting because of the pain. in middle school, it got to the point where some days I c...

Endometriosis Surgery

On the twenty-second of July 2020, I had my Endometriosis surgery after ten years of waiting.  The Video For Surgery I had to wake up at six-forty to get ready for surgery. I took a quick shower and headed to the hospital. By 10:30 I was in the operating room. the atmosphere was really calming and they walked me through everything that was happening. the whole team was male except a few nurses which I would have normally freaked out about but I was freaking out about what they would find when they went in. When I came out of the operating room and woke up it was confirmed with pictures that I had endometriosis. there wasn't a lot but there was new growth growing on the wall between my uterus and intestines that they couldn't get. what they could remove they did and have sent away for testing. my doctor thinks the reason I had so little is because I have been on birth control since I was ten and while it has made my symptoms worse it has stopped the growth; and now that I have g...

How To Cope With Pain

If you have a chronic illness (or even if you live in pain on the daily) even if it isn't endometriosis you know that pain can be hard to handle especially when it is recurring and nothing seems to help so here is a list of five ways to cope with endometriosis pain, leave in the comments what you use to deal with your pain. now I want to start by saying pain killers but that is a lie, well for me at least. my pain killers don't work sadly and all they do is put me to sleep which I guess can be a good thing because I get very little sleep when I am in pain. tens machine:   A transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation ( TENS )  unit  is a device that sends small electrical currents to targeted body parts. These currents are used to relieve pain. I find this helpful because It distracts my mind enough that the pain numbs a tad so it isn't so intense. weighted blanket: I love my weighted blanket, it is exactly that a blanket that is weighted. they are meant to ...

Castor oil pack | what are they and how to make them

YouTube Video:  How to make a castor oil pack castor oil packs are amazing for a lot of things because of their ability to promote healing, improve circulation especially lymphatic circulation. it has also been found to reduce symptoms of constipation and reduce inflammation which is why it is perfect for what us sufferers call endo belly. for those who may not be familiar with the term or have come across my blog to learn more about endometriosis. Endometriosis diet

the endometriosis diet (also known as the endo diet) is a diet that endometriosis sufferers sometimes go on in hopes of managing there pain and symptoms. while the endo diet didn't work for me i have heard many success stories from women who tried it. in this post, i will be going over what the actual diet is and more tips like that to try and help you. it is with giving it a try because while not everything will work for you you may notice some things that work better than others and the worst that will happen is you go off it because it didn't work like me. foods that may worsen your symptoms are: foods that are high in trans fat: so that things like crackers, cookies, cakes, frozen pies, and other baked goods, coffee creamer and microwave popcorn. red meat gluten high FODMAP: so things like garlic, onion, grains, sweeteners and legumes. alcohol caffeine dairy products things that are good to eat are: fibrous foods: so things like fruits and vegetables. i...
